Sorry if this really belongs in the .22 rimfire section but I figured it would get more traffic and knowledge here.

Does anybody have one of these or know much about them? I'm doing some Google research now but I know there are some knowledgeable folks on here.

Do these things function well? Any known issues other than of course they are old and surplus guns? I know that they use a different mag than the regular service ace and are these available?

Sorry for all the questions but I am really wanting an Ace and this may be a cheaper option if it's not a total turd.
TIA

They were importing in '95 or '96
Mags are available, they shoot well, fairly rare.
Would expect it to sell for around $750

In the bit of research I have gotten done it looks like there were two companies that did the conversions. The one I am looking at is the Venturini one and it has me kind of nervous about extra mags as I have not been able to find any for sale. I really don't like the idea of a single mag for anything but especially a .22

I'm debating between it and just spending a bit more and getting an actual Colt Ace and the availability of spare parts and mags.
