Picked up a 1911-22 to plink around with. The plastic grips are awful. Just want something else that will work but at a low cost since its just a plinker

Really like the way my Altamont grips came out. Got the rosewood double diamond. Really nice wood grips for about $35.

Saw a link and tried duragrips, I'm very happy with them and will get another pair.
Feel similar to my VZ gunners

The Ergo grips are about as thin as you get without chaning the grip bushings.

Hogue also makes a slim rubber (non-wrap-around) grip for under $15.

I bought a pair for $9.98 on midway and they have a few color choices.  One is pink.  LOL.  I got like an FDE color.  I haven't taken a pic yet.  I might not leave them though.  They're too thin for me.  But they're the same as a typical grip.  I just like my grip fat.

I'm into function over form, and use rubber grips on any gun I can get them for. Not the best looking but I like the way they work, particularly in colder weather.

CDNN investments has some really nice Cocobolo grips at real cheap prices. Go to grips and then Colt grips. If your 1911 is a flat black color the Lighter wood really makes it look nice.

I'll second ebay for cheap grips. I bought a set of triple diamond wood grips for my gun and they are awesome.

I prefer the stippled ones over the Mr. Peanut pattern.
