I helped a friend by installing an ambi safety in his.
I was very impressed with the fit and finish. Very solid and very smooth. We took it out to the range and the first time I shot it at around 7 yards, I shot the X out of the page and each shot after that followed the first. I told him if he ever wanted to sell it to give me a call. A few weeks later, he did and I bought it from him. I'm still happy with the purchase. It's a great gun. My only issue with it was that the slide stop lobe (The area that the magazine follower pushes up on) was a hair too short. This led to the follower slipping past the slide stop. This only affected certain magazines and only when shooting hot ammo. I did not have the issue with Wilson 47D's and similar magazines. I replaced the slide stop with a 10-8 slide stop to fix the issue. |
