| Thanks for the positive feedback. All of their pricing is on their website and can be broken down. I have had work done by them before on my 2 Springfield's, but this took the longest by far. Couple of reasons. The 30lpi checkering is not as common and they waited for a bunch of guns to show up wanting 30lpi before they switched out the machine. The fact that it was a Colt may have factored in as well, but the wait was 15 weeks for checkering. The trijicon front sight was then different from what they use normally and was on back order for another month. Why the sight wasn't ordered while it was waiting for the checkering IDK lol... total wait was just under 7 months, compared to 12-14weeks each for my Springfield's. Long wait but it was worth it. |

Snip Thanks for the reply for the turnaround time. I'd say it was worth the wait as the end result looks very nice. I am going to call and see if I can't get mine sent in for checkering. I want 25lpi so maybe the wait will not be too long. ETA: I was quoted 10 to 12 weeks for the front strap checkering. |

Heck yeah
I've was thinking about sending a Colt to SA for a while. Since I got that G19 I haven't been carrying my 1911s though. (no reason, besides the 'new' hasn't worn off my Glock yet) I still might send them the Colt though, definitely park job, maybe beavertail and sights too. |
