I'm new to 1911's (but very fond of them already), so I was hoping to get some experienced opinions.
Upon reassembly after cleaning, I noticed that if you apply a bit of pressue to the top & front end of the ejector, the rear portion will rise off of the frame slightly. Without any pressure it will sit flush, but with some pressure will tilt just enough to see some light underneath the rear. I can also feel a bit of drag as the front of the safety notch pases over the ejector during the reassembly. It isn't noticable while racking the slide once it is fully assembled. I removed the ejector and re-seated it. Afterwards it seems to fit tighter but will still tilt somewhat. It's a new Sig, I've had nearly 500 rounds through the pistol with few problems (I think 2 FTE's). Is this something I should be concerned about? Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks! |
