Just bought a new Pro Carry 2.  I installed a Wilson flatspring recoil kit in the gun last night.  Fired about 50 rounds everything worked fine.  Today I replaced the MSH with a Wilson MSH.  Took it out and ran 100 rounds through it today and everything finctioned fine.

Fast forward to this afternoon and field stripping the gun to clean it.  I have several full size 1911's and have never had this issue.  After removing the slidestop, the slide will not come off the frame.  I pull forward and it hangs on something connected to the grip safety.  I can feel it pull out when I try and pull the slide forward.  I put the slidestop back in and the gun functions normally.

Any ideas?

You're probably feeling the Swartz grip safety lever.  It's actuated by the grip safety arm.   Make sure you don't depress the grip safety while removing the slide.

I am not.  I think I figured out the problem.  It is the fit of the MSH.  It is not letting the little swartz lever drop low enough for the slide to come off.  Working on it now.

With the new MSH installed, now it won't let the lever drop enough for me to put the slide back on.  Had to take the MSH out to get the slide off originally.  Any idea what I need to adjust to make this work?

Duhhhhh...............

This was my problem.  Pic from another website.  The little ears on the MSH.  Filed them down a little and everything works great now.  Would not let the grip safety come up far enough to release the lever to remove or install the slide.
