My daily carry gun has a light rail so all my holsters are made for a 1911 with rail. Its a Kimber Desert Warrior if that matters.

I want to buy a RIA or STI 9mm 1911 for IDPA but want to use my daily carry holster. Neither of those come with a light rail. Can I add a light rail to the gun that will have the same profile so it fits in my holsters correctly??

Holster is a Crossbreed super tuck Deluxe IWB

I had one made for my colt rail gun and I use it for a couple 1911s without a rail and they fit pretty snug even without the rail.
