[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 80% 1911 frame source

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have a source for carbon steel 80% 1911 frames? I have sourced a stainless steel version but I really want to get a nice bluing on it which as all of you know is not possible on stainless steel.

I have looked in the private market and everyone is quick to snatch them up and more people keep getting them. They have to be coming from somewhere, right?

What's your source for SS 80%ers?

Actually they're more like 40%'s but here.

Have you checked out the Ares Armor ones? I saw some of them in their
shop before I moved out of CA. I don't know if they are in stock.

Sorry I should've said it in my first post. No Rudius frame or KTO frame, just a standard GI pattern 1911 frame. The STI-esque removable grip on the Ares is something that does not appeal to me, neither does the full railed KTO.
