I was looking at a mil spec that a local had for sale condition is excellent and has all factory acces.  He had allot of work done to it over at Scottsdale Gun Club, and I was curious as to what value it would add to the pistol.  Off the top of my head he had them install all Wilson Combat parts the bullet proof line, high ride beaver tail, slide release, trigger competition match long, safety, sear, hammer, and some other internal parts cant remember exactly.  Also he had them polish and throat the barrel, and install and fit a match grade bushing.  Just from handling it I felt the work was done correctly everything fits and functions smoothly.  The slide lock up is every bit as tight as my TRP, trigger is excellent as well almost if not as good as my TRP, which is my only other 1911 I can compare side by side. Anyway just curious as to what the true value of the gun is?  Mods feel free to move this if you feel it should be in the Springfield section.  I just felt i would get a better ass here in the 1911's.
Thanks!

A brand new Mil-Spec runs between 750.00 to 800.00 around here depending on where you go.It is going to depend on round count too.As a rule of thumb you can usually recoup about 1/3 of the cost of work done on a pistol depending on who preformed the work. But that is just around here,it might vary where you are and if you want it really bad you might want to pay more.

Off the top of my head, I don't think a WC BT will fit the milspec unless the tangs were welded up or the 'drop-in' part was used

got a picture?

i am at work today but tomorrow I will try and get pics up he sent me a bunch on my phone.  Also I am going off my conversation I had with him so my description could be off. However it def does have a beavertail installed.  I'll ask for some interior shots as well right now all I have is a 360 of the outside and a downshot of the chamber/throat.

Having seen the work of the so-called "gunsmiths" at SCG I wouldn't buy it at any price.

+1.   Heard some bad stories about their gunsmith biz.

Interesting I did get to handle the gun and look it over.  Everything looked good, the trigger was impressive and like I said slide lock up was very tight.  I am going to give them a call tomorrow and see what was done on the gun and how long ago.  Maybe things have changed since the stories you guys heard about.  I personaly would never go three because of the prices they charge but my friend selling the gun is a Scottsdale PD officer so he gets a break on prices there.
