bullets and hit the range...Raasco for grips...there are a couple others who make Taurus 1911 specific grips...shoot and enjoy... Bill Any 1911 grips will fit the Taurus 1911, it's just like any other 1911 when it comes to parts. I have 1 and really like it. It's been trouble since right out of the box and thats been a few years. |

Sling? Serious? What is the purpose of the gun? What sights are on it? Somewhere I read it has Novaks already. Night sights? What style holster are you looking for? IWB, Thigh, Pancake, belt? Become a good shot and ditch the laser, maybe look into a light. Shoot it. |

The Taurus is not like any other 1911. It is not to "spec" you will need to get a holster specially designed for the Taurus. I am not 100% certain about parts but I know they are not "the same as other 1911" 100% true. For example, my Colt Ace .22 LR conversion will NOT fit on a PT1911 frame. The conversion fits just fine on my Springfield Armory 1911 frame. Go figure. I don't know about other parts. I didn't own my PT1911 long enough to even think about putting anything on it. Damned thing started falling apart (literally, the ejector fell out, and I started getting hammer follow) with only about 1000 rounds through it, if that many, so I cut my losses by selling it. This was in 2007. Perhaps Taurus has improved the quality since then. |

what troubles have you had? i had mine for over a year now and put at least 700 rounds through it. i never had any problems. shot great right out of the box. I typed to fast. That shoul have said trouble free. I love the gun and contrary to some All the same 1911 parts I use in my Springfield RO and my Ruger SR 1911 fit this gun perfectly Including all of my 1911 holsters. Sorry about the mistake I should have read my own post befor I hit SUBMIT. It really should have said trouble free. |

I am not 100% certain about parts but I know they are not "the same as other 1911" only if you get one with a rail as that is Taurus specific...many 1911 pattern pistols have their little tolerance differences but I think you will find many Taurua PT1911 parts as easy and interchangeable with many other 1911 pattern pistols...just be informed and search for your uses first...
