Im considering adding some Wilson parts to my 1911A1. I ran across a pic of someone who added a Wilson hammer without adding a beavertail safety and like the looks of it. Is this possible without any modifications?

Not quite. You have to at least cut a scoop out of the top of the grip safety to allow the hammer to fully cock, kind of like Colt did with their Commanders.

Sure, you just have to use a Commander style grip safety. This is how I did my RIA MS.

If you want to use the regular GI style grip safety, it will have to be notched. I have one like that also. If I can find it.

Ah ok, I kinda wanted to stay away from doing any mods or replacing the standard grip safety. But would these 2 options work and fit well in my 1911A1?
