Wilson Combat is selling them. I'm pretty sure they are good for 25,000 rounds over the 2,000 the standard springs are good for. Sig is probably buying them from Wilson. Make sure the rear of the spring is completely over the rear guide when you reassemble or the slide might bind going on to the frame. If the slide has trouble going on to the frame, take it off and start again. Once assembled you wron't have any problems. Also the rear guide is a smaller diameter than a standard recoil spring. So in the future if you want to change to a standard recoil spring you will also have to get a rear guide. Don't sweat it. you are good to go!

My new sig has one as well.  From what I have read they have a longer life, and seem to not cause any problems.
I will have to see in a year or two when it's been used enough to make my own impression.
