The Brown in blued or the SRP in hardchrome with 1.5" guarantee. Which would you get and why?

EB EE because 6 eggs = half dozen and I just like the look of the EB more.

Having shot several Les Baers and a couple Ed Browns, I'd go with the Brown without a doubt.  My dad's EB Special Forces is the finest handgun I've ever touched, and his Executive Elite is #2.

Made the same decision in late 2010. Picked the EBEE. Haven't regretted it. The LB is a fantastic pistol, no question. I just really like the EB. It feels more refined to me. The grip feels slimmer, like, around the grip safety to the trigger. It just feels like the dimensions are actually smaller. I have smaller hands so it feels really good to me.

I'd have no reservations at all buying a Baer.  But, if you've got the extra coin, you'll get everything that's good about a Baer and then some with the Brown.

I'm not sure what the SRP really brings to the table over the Custom Carry / TRS except a presentation box, polymer finish, and an extra mag.

I think a Custom Carry with hardchrome is a better value, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at a SRP either.

Ed Brown, all day long.

I'd suggest the Ed Brown.  There are some anomalies  with Baers that I don't care for such are the longer front strap and the slightly longer grip which causes a slight gap to appear with aftermarket grips. Baers are great guns but the attention to detail just isn't there.

Browns on the other hand are the perfect 1911 with form and function all wrapped up in one package.  With the exception of Colt bluing on a good day (Non Friday before a holiday or after lunch during the week :-) ) I don't think anyone does a nicer bluing that that matte bluing found on the browns.

I going to say "Les Baer"! I have a Concept III with over 8500rds through it.  Now I did have a problem with the gun at the 7500rd mark and Les took care of it.  But by far and away this is the most accurate 1911 I've every shot.  And most at my local gun club agree.  Very happy with my Baer!

Though I own both, I favor the Baers.  Just personal preference.

This is absurd.  EB's Owner's Manual has absolutely nothing to do with the superb quality of his pistols, the premium parts he manufactures, their exceptional customer service, class leading warranty or commitment to his customers and the 1911 platform.  To use his controversial personality or philosophical written differences as a factor in making  purchase decisions, is just flat out unjustified, and that's putting it mildly.
