I recently bought a RIA and it's been flawless and accurate so far eating everything I feed it. Now, I'm in the market for mags.
Which mags out there are the most reliable in 8 rounds? |

What are people's thoughts on Kimber mags? I have some Cabela's cash and its between Kimber and Wilson from them. The Kimber Tac-Pro mags are made by Checkmate and are great mags for the money. The have a much better spring in them than the Wilson 47Ds in my opinion. |

I can't imagine the Tac-Pro's being less than $20 http://www.topgunsupply.com/checkmate-1911-8rd-full-size-magazine/ Check-Mate's are great mags and cheap too. I always get the Hybrid feed lip models. I also like the Wilson 47D's, but I haven't tried the ETM's yet. |

Spring feels better IMO than Wilson, but I ran >6k through one Wilson 47D without issue. My preference: 1) Tripp - better body, spring and follower 2) CMC - better body and spring, non-skirted follower 3) Wilson - good body and spring, flat metal basepad option 4) Kimber Tac Pro - good body and spring, flush fit option w/ metal baseplate I carry Wilson because they offer a flat metal basepad. I wish Tripp did the same. ACT mags have given me troubles and are only range mags IMO. |
