Just curious if anyone has any real-world experience with the SIG Ultra Compact 1911's?....Specifically, I am looking at possibly buying one of these (AIM has them for 850.00 right now) as a possible CCW.  I own and am familiar with the standard full size 1911's, but my research has been a little conflicted.  Some say they would never trust the 3 inch barrel 1911's, but others have said they have no issues with this SIG model?...Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I don't own. 3 inch Sig, but I've got a officers model Colt and a 3 inch Kimber Ultra CDP that are both wonderfully reliable when used with Wilson magazines. I carry either of them routinely and have a couple bucket loads of ammo through them with no issues. My Sig GSR is a fine handgun as well, but it's a 5 inch full sized model, so it doesn't directly compare to the 3 inch concern/question.

Hope it helps.
