I know there was a thread about it awhile back, but noone had any personal experience with them.  Anybody played with one of these pistols yet?

Slightly off topic, but I feel like calling a pistol the "Nightmare" is kind of bad marketing. I was expecting to click this thread and see pictures of an f-ed up 1911, lol.

I thought of that when I went back to the 1911 discussions page and saw it  It does imply a shitstorm of problems with the gun! which might be spot on if its like other .357 sig 1911's ive seen...

I saw the title of this thread, and I said to myself. "Ut oh, someone else is having a SIG Nightmare too."

A new Extreme came to me with a gigantic crack in the frame about 3 months back. I took it back and ate the 20% restocking fee.

I have a fullsize and will get a carry when it comes out.

Slick gun and quite a deal.

The .357sig version sounds quite interesting. I might try one out.

Did you not inspect the gun before buying it?

I got to handle one the other day, didn't get a chance to fire it, felt like a solid gun, I do like it.

No, .45.  I can't stomach another caliber... (or wallet it)

I have not seen the .357 Sig version yet.  But I will say that the .45 is nice.  I need to shoot a couple hundred more out of it to be sure if where I am shooting is the sights or me, but it does group well, just a smidge low and left.  Still perfectly acceptable for a carry gun, I am just picky.

Yeah im sure the .45 runs well. Im wondering about the .357 since 1911s in the past have not particularly cared for that caliber

Why not Simply call SIG? They would have picked up shipping both ways, as well as replaced the gun...FREE of charge.

From January and SHOT Show.

I've got one on order...every time my ship date comes and goes...it gets pushed forward a few more months.
Personally I like the .357 SIG  cartridge and thought it would be fun in a 5" gun. Worth the wait I guess.

At SHOT the SIG Rep stated they wouldn't be shipping until the bugs were worked out.
