How do you go about building a lower for one?  Is it like the ar15 where you get a stripped lower and then a parts kit?   Where do you get stripped lowers?

I may be getting a Marvel conversion for my Kimber, and eventually would like to build a lower for it so its a very nice high quality 22lr 1911.

Thanks!

1911's are nearly as simple as an ar- they will almost invariably require tinkering and fitting to get it right.

Ok so would you guys say it is cheaper to just buy a cheap 1911 like a RI GI Spec and then just use that frame with the internals and then get a trigger job done?

Basically I am just trying to figure out the best way to go about building a complete gun using the Marvel 22 conversion.  They are insane accurate.  If I was not after bullseye style accuracy, I would get the GSG or Sig 1911-22's.
