Do you have the Jerry Kuhnhausen books? I have nothing. I think a 1911 would be a cool winter project. It would, but dollar for dollar you can't beat a new RIA, G.I. or Tacticle. I wanted to build a 1911 lower but found it far more cost effective to buy a whole new RIA and I got a dandy. Then you can tinker with it all you want. 10mm, when you care enough to send the very best. |

if you want to build your own for the sense of accomplishment or to get a unique configuration not available other wise go ahead. it will NOT save you any money over buying a gun already made. This. I was going to do it years ago, and ended up with a Springfield GI that I can tinker with however I want to. |
