Had one, but mine had Novaks in the rear.  I didn't think they made em any other way.

Springfield offered a V10 in 3 inch, V12 in 5 inch, V16 in longslide.  Mine was a pain in the ass to take apart, but was pretty accurate for it's size.

I have one. Just a regular champion with exhaust ports.

Shoots good and golden sabers have the least flash at night. It is fun to shoot speer through them in low light because of the very bright flash. First time I shot speer, the two people either side of me went 'What the hell?' from the flash.

I run mecgar mags with it. Ahern palm swell grips, checkered front grip and 1911 reliability package done to it with extended thumb safety added.

With the flash from the barrel you can burn the bad guy at touching distance. Very accurate to 25 yards for me.

I carry it in a milt sparks summer special iwb holster during cool times in texas and a fanny pack that looks like a pda carry during hot weather.

I have a V12 that I purchased new in approximately 2004.  Very accurate and I use mine to qualify for my chl when renewal time rolls around.  Springfield sold the ported 1911s as a non-custom shop item for a bit.  Now the ported 1911s are a custom shop item.
