Some time back in the early 90's my uncle picked up a 5" ORM 1991 and dropped it off at a local 'smith to have a bit of work done with the intent of using it for armed security work. I'm not exactly sure what was done as the receipt didn't give an itemized list of the total work done, just the final price (~$800 iirc). I know that the original plastic trigger, grips, MSH, and short GI-style guide rod have been replaced and the original hammer has been bobbed a bit. The Ejection port has been enlarged and flared, and a new barrel bushing fitted. Trigger is fantastic, slide/frame fit is extremely tight, and everything works as it should or better. Now, on to my question...

The gun was sold to my father who has now given it to me, so I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have here. One of the mods that was done was installation of an adjustable rear sight. It's definitely not what I would've done for a duty weapon, but I'm not the one who paid for the work.  I've tried Googling the name on the sight, but all I can find are references to the movie "The Professional" and some stuff about compensators. Anybody know anything about this thing?

And the gun in question...

Looks like a Bo-mar / LPA clone, and appears to be the LPA cut.    The actual Bo-mar sights and their accompanying dovetail cut have the elevation screw hole drilled in the high area behind the actual dovetail, not in the bottom of the dovetail itself.

Harrison Custom offers non-adjustable sights to replace the LPA and Bo-mar sights.
