I just cleaned my new lightweight commander and was a bit worried about the full length guide rod being more difficult to reassemble.  I have read many posts of guys saying the short one is much easier to work with and full length is bad.  Well, for me, it seemed just as easy to put back together as my short ones.  What the heck were they complaining about?

Nothing's wrong with the FLGR that Colt uses.

It's the two-piece rod that requires you to unscrew the front with a hex key that tends to be a pain in the ass.

Why wouldn't they?  If it can't be disassembled by hand I consider that to be a design flaw.

Who said it couldn't be disassembled by hand?  no tools were needed.
