Me too!!!!
Love it, shot it week before last and it was awsome. Put a heavier spring on it afterwards, hogue grips and I want to swap the ambi safety.
Oh, this is my third 4th 1911 but this one is the Keepa. I've had two Argentines (traded or sold) and a 1991A1 series 80 Colt (sold to my dad, wanted one that uses milspec parts). |

| very nice, and congrats. I just put in a n order for the same gun, just in 9mm so I could shoot it more often with the lower price of 9mm vs. .45acp ammo. I can't wait to get it. I have heard great things, but more importantly I have shot many various models of rocks so I am very confident that it will be a good reliable, accurate shooter. It will be a range / fun gun for me, and I look forward to having lots of fun with it. |

I primarily CC a SA XD sub compact in 9mm, which has been a great gun. I had been getting the itch for a 1911 and thought I was gonna pay out the ass for one, until, thank you AR15 for informing me of the RIA 1911s. From there I just did my research on which one I wanted and model and so on and so forth. I also liked the 2 tone one, I may get that in 9mm later. For now I'm gonna be looking at grips. VZ is getting most of my attention. There is a RIA on the "Show us your grips" thread in here with a sweet set of VZs on it (page 6 I think) and I am going to do my best and not copy it...but its gonna be hard, its a sweet looking gun. |

I like the grips you have. For grips make sure you check out Larry Davidson's site http://www.davidsonknives.com/# Nothing wrong with VZs but you said you're trying to to exactly duplicate the other one you saw. I will check them out. I have time before I buy them. |

HHHMMMMMMMMMM... Rookie 1911 owner, pistol cocked, mag in, but safety not engaged.... WAKE UP AND READ THE MANUAL........ Not a single round of .45 in this house... Yet. I assure you everything is just fine at Hooligans House. That shot came after walking in the door & maybe being in the house 5 minutes. |
