We need a Captain America themed 1911! He used it exclusively in the movie.... So what do we have out there? |

Quoted:
A Colt M1911A1 from WW II? Or Remington-Rand or Union Switch and Signal or an Ithaca? Based on the movie, it would have been an issue pistol. There wasn't any "Q" scene where Howard Stark hands him a tricked-out 1911 (as with the shield). I knew a guy in the Army who had two 1911 in great condition. Spade hammer and flat mainspring housings. His Grandpa carried them in WW1. TOO/TWO HOO-AHHH! |

Quoted: Yeah, and I know a fella that watched a guy shoot a 45 caliber pistol once.Quoted: A Colt M1911A1 from WW II? Or Remington-Rand or Union Switch and Signal or an Ithaca? Quoted: I was so excited to see that movie =) A bad ass actor using a shield and a 1911 to kick ass! What more is there not to like! Great Movie! Hope he uses a modern tricked 1911 in the Avengers movie ![]() The "Silver Age" and more-recent "imaginings" of Captain America has only infrequently used firearms (the character has - but doesn't usually). |
