| I was looking for a few adjustable sight suggestion. I am kinda leaving the field open to see what you guys suggest and why. They are going on a range 1911/CCW piece. It is not my EDC but will still get carried from time to time. |

It depends on what you mean by range shooting. Shooting people sized silhouettes at 7,10 or 15 yards is fine with non-adjustable sights, but if you are trying to hit small targets at 50-75 ft or more than I can be an issue if the non adjustable sight does not shoot to point of aim, is off in elevation and/or is mounted to solidly to drift adjust easily for windage.
The other side of the coin is that some adjustable sights are higher profile and less optimum for CCW - but generally that is a compromise many shooters can live with. |

Quoted: Novak low-mount rear dovetail with adjustable Champion rear. Gives you the most options down the road for other sights, and isn't as uncomfortable to use as a Bo-mar type. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff35/kemays/svi-45.jpg BAM! There it is. Mr. Mays has recommended a very nice adjustable sight that fits in the most popular dovetail cut. |
