I present my current baby.  It is my daily carry piece pictured with its home.  I had hoped to have a new toy for post 1911 but other projects are eating up my funds.  I know it is just a Kimber but it gets carried and shot so don't bust my balls to hard!

If anyone has a 4.25" Ed Brown Kobra Carry or Special Forces with a rail feel free to post a picture and show me what I am saving money for!  I would love to see one with a light and a carry rig.

Nice looking piece for post 1911.  I've got two, an Ultra Carry and a TLE /RL.  Both are very accurate and until the TLEs external extractor went tits up (after many thousands of rounds) they had both been very reliable.  That TLE is still tight and accurate even though it's worn out.  Gotta send the old girl in for a slide replacement and get her back in the duty rotation.

How're you liking those grips?

I dig mine on a commander, but they don't have the thumb relief; I'd be too worried about accidentally dropping the mag

I like the grips.  I shoot thumbs forward so the relief isn't really accesible until I separate my grip.  At that point I usually want the mag to come out and the thumb relief makes it easier to hit my mark without having to alter my grip.  Otherwise I feel like I have to relax my grip and reach for the mag release.  It isn't a necessity but it definately makes life easier and lets me have a more consistent grip.
