[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Springfiield Champion to 5"?

I have a Springfield Champion that I got in trade. Would it just be a matter of having a 5" slide and barrel fitted to the frame to change it over to a full size or is the dust cover shorter on the 4" models? I don't have a full size to compare it to.

I can't answer your question directly. But have you considered another trade? IMO, you would come out better by trading than what you have in mind.

I have thought about it but the Champion has a bobtailed frame and I would really like to keep that.

champion frame is a little bit shorter on mine.
