[ARCHIVED THREAD] - springfield 1911 ULTRA COMPACT

Has anyone had any experence with this gun? I am looking into one that i found and would like some info. Thanks in advance.

I bought one at an auction a few years back for $400 ..It shot everything I fed it ..one of the best looking guns I've ever owned

I bought a V10 Ultra compact a few months ago- great gun-changed out the grips, though.

I have an Ultra Compact wide body. I've had it over 10 years and have never had any issues with it. It is ironic, however, that it's the smallest 1911 I own and has the highest capacity magazines !! Anyway, I sent it back to the Springfield Custom Shop to have a Kings Ambi safety installed and have white dots on the Novak sights. It's a bitchin' little brute of a carry gun!!

I'm interested in one too. Is the barrel fully ramped?

well i pulled the trigger and got it. This is my first 1911 and am ready to get it to the range.

Yes it was used but by the looks of it it was used lightly

I like mine, and have a "Micro" as well. Carried both for a time, but picked up a Kimber Tactical Ultra II for carry, it's only 25 oz. Kept the SA's too, good pistols.
