Should I need any parts? Guidance?
This fpb is a pos and I would just rather see it gone. Pistol is for games only. |

"If you want to remove it because its unnecessary and you have no problems with 70 series type pistols than proceed. In the frame you remove the push rod from the sear pin, there is no spacer needed like an 80 series system however there will be a little hole left where the push rod went. For the slide, you must remove the rear sight, take out the spring, turn the slide upside down and the stop will fall out. You will also have a small hole left there as well. Some people tap that hole and put a set screw in there but its not necessary." not mine as I do not own one. instructions are for a kimber which also use the Swartz system. |

Gregory, thanks for the reply.
My slide looks like the 80 series setup. The frame contains also a similar looking lever which acts upon the plunger. Grip safety activates the lever on mine, trigger activates the colt [other] version. I can remove the plunger and spring by simply by removing the extractor and letting it fall out, done. I do not know the best way to eliminate the lever. |

No Clue. I do not own version of the swartz type, I say type as I have read only kimber uses a excat copy of the swartz system, while S&W and Sig a modified version.
If S&W will sell you spar parts, I'd grind the orginals down to the point that they no longer function and only work as spacers. this is for the frame parts. If the Slide parts come out as you say, I'd just remove them. |

Gregory, the rear sight does capture the plunger. Don't know what I was thinking.
Anyway, not much info so I took it apart. Piece of cake. Retained the core of the lever though it does not seem to have much value in this gun. It does seem fine in place though. Pistol runs fine now. No light strikes, no bobbles. Thanks. |
