| Congratulations!!!!!!!!! I bought the "rainbow" last summer. The recoil spring compressed and broke within less than 100 rds. I replaced it with a Wolff spring for the Colt Mustang (Ibelieve it is 12lbs). Since then I have about 400 trouble-free rounds and would definitely buy again. It's amazingly accurate and soft-shooting. You will not be disappointed! |

I got the all black one. Couple hundred rounds and no problems yet. Good to know a mustang spring will work if needed. I use my mustang mags in it and they work fine. Thats really the only bone I have about SIG is they only give you one mag and want huge bank for spares. I'm not paying it. I'll use the spare mustang mags I have instead and buy more of those if needed. You pay a premium for a SIG in the first place, then to have them rape you on spare mags is an insult. They can kiss my ass in that respect. It's a good thing I did'nt know that before I bought it cause it pissed me off enough that I probably would have passed on it. Every SIG pistol I've owned in the past came with two mags.
What I'd like to get for it are wood grips to replace the black plastic on it now. Right after I got mine they came out with all the different models and variations, one of which is all black with wood grips. Figures it would be right after I got mine. Eventually they might sell them as parts but will probably want $100 a pair, because its "SIG".
Rant off. |
Great gun! Mine has been flawless. Out of all the pocket 380s out there, the P238 wins hands down in every department. I put some VZ grips and a stainless steel trigger in mine. The trigger can be had over at one of the 1911s forums. Goto this topic here and contact the member at post #10 called "partsproduction" if interested. http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=270332&highlight=P238+trigger
