I've got a Colt Commander and I'd like to find a curved back for the handgrip like the ones in the picture with the loop on the bottom for a lanyard. I've got one on the gun now but it is the straight one. Can someone point me in the direction to where I might find one. Or if someone has one that they might be willing to part with IM me and lets see if we can work something out.

That part is the main spring housing (MSH).

wetidlerjr, thanks for the links. I really like the curved one with the checkering on it. I didn't think they would cost quite that much. Looks like I'll need to save my pennies for a couple more weeks.

You might want to get a composite MSH ($10-$15) to try to see if you like the arched housing, before you buy a high quality steel or stainless unit. Many people will replace their arched housing with flat as an 'upgrade'.
