In honor of the centenial and some other things I decided I needed a new 1911.  I ordered a Nighthawk Enforcer (Recon) from George at MIGunslingers.  GREAT customer service as always.
Specs:
.45 ACP
Recon Frame (rail)
Henie Black rear sight
Green fiber optic front sight
Diamond Black entire gun (even the barrel and trigger)
Ambi Safety

I was able to put 300rds through it in about 45min (all the time I had).  150 WWB, 100 S&B, 50 Gold Dot.  I fired as fast I could and still control the weapon.  Impressions and results
1. It was more accurate than I could ever hope to be.
2.The trigger is worth the price of admission.  There is no way to describe a custom trigger.  I've owned a Kimber so I thought I knew what a good 1911 trigger felt like...I was wrong.
3. NO MALFUNCTIONS.  I was a little worried about a break in period but there was nothing to worry about.  This gun came ready to play.  Now of course I would like to put at least 200 more rounds through it before I make it my carry gun, but so far so good.
4. Fit and finish is outstanding.   Now I'm no mastersmith but there aren't any flaws I can see (I did field strip it).

I'm very pleased with this 1911.  I went back and forth on which semi-custom to go with.  I'm sure Wilson or Brown would have made a gun just as nice but Nighthawk pushes my buttons.

And the best part is I am going to be attending a Larry Vickers 1911 operators course in Aug.

That is good to hear.  I have an enforcer recon being built right now almost to those same specs, except I had the CJSOTF-AP symbol engraved on the slide and I got it in PK.  So, I'm very happy to hear your positive review.

How do you like the G10 grips?  I requested the same grips in grey like the enforcer on their website.  I've heard some people complain that they are too rough to comfortably carry.

Tag for placeholder. I ordered a NH too just last week, so I'll post my pictures here when it arrives.

The G10 grips are pretty agressive but not too extreme.  I have not tried to carry it yet (holster still being made) so I cannot give an opinion on that.
