So I have a 2011 with a Recoil Master. I'll be the first to admit that it's a pain in the ass to take down, but it's really the best solution for my pistol. My pistol came with a little green clip that goes over the end of the guide rod to hold tension on it so you can take down the gun. I had it sitting on the table next to the TV, where I was last working on my pistol, but it's disappeared. I have no doubt that it's in little pieces in my backyard, surrounded by dog poop. My dogs are notorious for jumping up on the tables, and raiding the candy dish. To them, it probably looked like candy, plus it was really chewy.
I called up STI, got connected to their service guy, who chuckled when I explained what happened. He asked "How about you just give me your address, and I mail you a two or three tomorrow?" He refused to take my credit card information. That was Thursday. I'll probably have it on my desk at work Tuesday when I get back. |
