I have a govt. aluminum frame,[fed ord],with a commander top end on it.
How hard would it be to make the frame to commander specs? Besides the dust cover, that is.
You once told me it was close to .250 difference,i think.
The pistol shoots fine, i am trying to decide if i want to get a 5" upper for it, or have the frame modded.
Thank you.

The frame rails and VIS both I believe move back ~.25 (I thought was a little less than that but I'll lean on your memory).  There are smiths who do it, and it shouldnb't be too difficult for someone who knows what they're doing.

I don't think I'd invest that kind of $$ into having a Fed Ord alloy frame milled and re-anodized.
