Hello everyone ,
This is my first 1911 ( off tradition , 9mm ) pistola. I just finished trading emails & finalized the deal with George@Gunslingers for a Wilson CQB compact in 9mm & how it will be set up , changes made. I'm quite excited can't wait. I ordered 10 compact/officer 9mm 8rd mags with it. I was going to ask if Wilson is the only game in town for quality officer/compact size 9mm magazines. I have looked around for info , reviews , where to buy but cant find anything. I'm sure the wilsons will be great but want to see if I can find other mags that are quality , reliable with out the price tag. The 1911 platform has many magazine manufacturers that put an awesome product out there for the 45ACP round & I'm wondering if there is other magazine manufactures for the 9mm round out there. Thanks , Pep |

first of all, congratulations on your purchase. I have the cqb compact in .45 and predict you'll be rather happy with the purchase.
my suggestion is to stay with the wilson mags. they are highly-regarded and your choices in 9mm compact are slim and often inferior. Tripp makes a full size 9mm only. colt makes them for their New Agent, and SA does for their EMP. I am sure kimber makes something too but again, wilson would be best. the only one Id even consider is Colt. CMC may have them too, but if it's not a powermag, it's worthless IMO. |

Thanks guys,
I'm an OD glock 9mm guy & have gotten use to 20+ mags per piece & feel the Wilson should get the same respect , actaully more respect since they are 8rd mags so I guess I was looking to stock up before the fact & take a chance on another brand of mag but I guess mags shouldn't be the area to skimp on. If any body has the same CQB compact in 9mm please let me know what the goods & bads have been in your experience. Thanks guys , Pep |
