Well guys after moping around this forum for a while looking at all the beautiful 1911's I bought myself an early Christmas gift. I would have liked a SA Loaded Parkerized or a TRP. The local shop I went to had no Parkerized Loaded's and the TRP was just out of my budget. Without further-a-do here she is my SA 1911 Loaded Black Stainless Combat. When I saw it I knew i just absolutely had to have it!
I already stripped her down once and what a PIA with that 2 piece FLGR it is! I'm looking for a GI Plug and guide but brownells seems to be out of stock. I would also like to change out the rubber grips to something more visually appealing and functional. if anyone has any thoughts on that it would be appreciated. I've been scoping the VZ's but I have no idea what colors would look good or if i should just stick with black. Finally thank you everybody who has posted their 1911's and just reading in on what everyone has to say got me to the point where i finally HAD to have one!

congrats on your purchase. you can also check out midwayusa for your parts there are several threads already about grips, so i dont think there needs to be another one. several years ago, i was eyeing that very model, but never had the money for it. post a range report when you get a chance to shoot it |
