I'm going to go a different route. Since you said 'just a range gun' I would not recommend buying a $1,500 gun. You could easily spend $800 or even less on a good gun that is perfectly acceptable for range use. Buy 1,000 rounds of ammo, shoot it, and then take it to/send it to a capable gunsmith and spend the rest of the money on the stuff that you decided you wanted to change (this will likely happen).
$1,500 on a gun that won't be used for anything but poking holes in paper is excessive unless money isn't an issue in which case you can spend twice as much money and have all kinds of bragging rights at the range. |
