I had George at Gunslingers put me on the list. Please give me some Professional porn to tide me over. Especially the railed version. |

Quoted: Here's a non-railed one. Just pretend it has a rail and add a few ounces http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd193/c5driver/IMG_9510-3-1.jpg I might just tell George to give me a heads up on whichever he has become available first. Ive still got about another 1400 worth of saving to do just yet. |

I plan on putting a Surefire X400 on it, slap in a 10rd McCormick and throw it in the nightstand. If I end up with a non-rail version it will get a Dawson. |

What grip panels are those? |
|
Simmonich "Gunner" G10 grips. They come oversized and took quite a bit of sanding along the front and back edges to match the profile of the frontstrap and magwell. Grippy as all hell without being uncomfortable. |

I have seen the G10s before but I remember them having more "points" at the top of the "peaks" and you saying that it needed sanding explains why. They look absolutely bad ass. |

there are two Pros on gunbroker right now. One NIB one used. Both non railed. The new one has a buy it now for $2550. I guess that's what they are getting for them now days. I had a chance to get a NIB one a few years ago for under 2K. I'll just have to be happy with my TRP http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=193997581 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=194007096 |

My Springfield Professional has a low 3-digit serial number (12x, built in late March 1999). It looks like the other non-railed Pros depicted in this thread, but mine has the matching serial number stamped on both the right side of the frame AND the left side of the slide. Does anyone else have a Springer Pro with the s/n also stamped on the left side of the slide?

IMO unless it's your daily / night carry I would leave off the rail off. The 1911 look's it best, the way JMB meant it to look!!! But if you need the rail for the above reason's it's tolerable. But it's much more pleasing to the eye's without. IMO I own 8 @ 1911's and only one with a rail, but only because I found it on the shelf at my local FFL and me having no patience to order I purchased on the spot

They point differently, meaning the Pro without the LR is not as front heavy. From Deb: PC9111 - 38 oz.
PC9111LR -40 oz. |

His are the newer ones that have the less aggressive ovals. The originals are as you remember, much more "pointier" and much more aggressive. They are the rounded golf ball style ones. I had a set like his and was dissapointed because the pic of what I ordered was the original style. |

Since the Pro is all I know, is there that big of a diifference when shooting a "loose" radius vs a "tight" radius? The loose seems to treat me just fine. |

A high-cut frontstrap lets you get your hand a bit further up the grip, giving you a tinier bit more control over muzzle flip, but it's mostly a personal preference. |

I would think a high .250 radious beaver tail is more important, since the gun recoils back. Still though i find the regular colt front strap mildly annoying. |

Quoted: I might as well order myself one of these and wait my 12-15 months. I've been watching the EE and everything else for a used one... They NEVER go for sale. Here's one on 10-8 |

But I would really like one of these!
