| I am thinking about getting a P64, I know nothing about these pistols and I am looking for something smaller than my H&K p30. aim had them for under 200 bucks. But I dont know what else is out there. can you guys help me? I want a 9x18 pistol and I have no idea what to look for. |

If you are looking for the smallest carry 9x18mm I would go with an R-61, if you just want an extremely reliable very accurate shooter I would go with a Makarov PM or CZ-82. The FEG PA-63 and R-61 have lightweight frames that make them easier to carry. The P64 is almost the same size as a Makarov PM and holds 6+1 instead of the PM's 8+1. The P64 has the worst DA trigger out of any pistol I have ever tried, but is suprisingly accurate in SA mode. As far as common 9x18's there are: Makarov PM's both 8rd single stack and 12rd double stack all steel guns. CZ-82's 12rd double stack, all steel and ambi guns. FEG PA-63 7rd single stacks, both all steel and lightweight alloy frame models. FEG R-61 6rd single stack, lightweight alloy frame. Polish P64 6rd single stack, all steel gun. Polish P83 stamped steel slide, steel frame. |

thanks for the pics. what is a PM? I dont mind a single stack I am looking for a ccw pistol. I also looked into the PPK and the sig P232. but the price on the 9x18 pistol really caught my eye and I read its a little bit bigger than the 380 round. Also is there a few places to pick one up other than AIM.

The PM is just the standard Makarov pistol that started it all in 9x18mm. A lot of the 9x18mm pistols get lumped together as Makarovs, but the PM is the only one that is a true Makarov.
