Not sure if it is even worth considering but I thought you might like to see it. www.gunscanada.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=1660 |

Well, incredible as it may seem, this is a rarity and a collector's item. I have seen them go as high as $650 before. But having owned one, I would never own one again. The original Luger Carbines go for $15K and up, and this Erma .22 version would at first glance appear to a fun toy to play with at the range. But the Erma action is the Edsel of the German gun world. Buggy as hell, and of piss poor materials. Sad, really, as during and preWW2, Erma always made great guns. All this changed after WW2. Same company also made a .380 baby Erma, that is cute as a button, but unfortunately all of the Erma Luger copies are equally bad. This is not a true Luger action, but merely has a similar appearance, and is made from crappy alloys and inferior grade steel. |
