I've been going round and round with various reamer grinders for weeks...
Does any one know where I can get one of these??? This is for the Mauser M1896 "Broomhandle" pistol...(my avatar!)... I've already tried Brownell's, Clymer, and Pacific...no luck...They either don't have (or want to carry) this, or have no idea what it is... 
This is a 7.63 Mauser "Broomhandle" chambering finishing barrel reamer, also known as 7.63 x 25; 7.62 Tokarev; 30 Mauser... Thank You!

If I can't buy one by Monday, I'll rent...hopefully... Now...Let me see where they moved this thread to on the new EE... |

I canceled my order with Dave at Pacific...he kept sending me prints for a 30 Luger reamer; not 30 Mauser... I got a email and print from another Dave at Manson Precision Reamers; this one looks correct...but since Pacific sent me an incorrect reamer, I sent Manson a print of the 30 Mauser cartridge just to double-check... Between Brownell's, Clymer, and Pacific, I'm four weeks behind and $150 poorer...Pacific's Dave said he'd cancel the order; I hope that means he's refunding the CC money...I need it to send to Manson... 
...And I put in an order for the Rent-A-Reamer... 
BTW: I had originally put this thread in the New EE as a WTB thread...Anybody know why it was stuck here in the Pistols Section??? It's not really informational or conversational; I was looking for some crotchety old mangler willing to sell me his reamer...
Edit: Got a Refund Notification from Pacific, so just waiting for Manson to confirm my print and I'll order one for myself...Rental reamer is on the way, hopefully...(3 - 4 weeks for the Manson reamer)... |

Well!!! The Rant-a-Reamer came in Monday; got the C96 chambered Tuesday; reamer went back Wednesday. New looking Manson 30 Mauser finishing reamer; looked recently sharpened; cut that chamber like a hot knife through butter...
A very well spent $30, I think!!! 
It did cost me $8.40 to send it back, insured & receipt confirmation. I still have a couple others to do, but they can wait for my reamer ordered from Manson. A big "+1" on the 4d Reamer Rentals!!! |
