A friend of mine (who is no BSer) told me yesterday that an elderly lady friend offered him a case (200 ct) of Lugers with consecustive S/Ns her husband had from way back when!

Being the gentleman he is, he declined the case but did tell her he wanted one of them. I suggested he get either the upper or lower numbered one so as to not break up the set.

Anyone have a thought as to value on 199 Lugers, consecutive S/Ns, no import marks, etc. etc.?????
I would have to think close to $1500-2000 each, maybe? Hell, shooters go for $600-700 these days.

WOW, I would think if the condition is 98%+, you could name your own price. That would be considered a once in a lifetime find.

Being the gentleman that he is, he declined her offer as he thought she needed the money.

So, who's gonna guess what they're worth????????????????????????

Don't really see how we could do it without your assistance.  Since you're the only one who seems to know who's got 'em....  I'm sure with all of the members on this site, we could easily find enough interested folks willing to help relocate those fine firearms.

A) I only know someone who knows the widow.

B) The set would have to be purchased as a whole to keep the high value of the consecutive S/N value.

C) I will be happy to hook up anyone with the guy who knows the widow, should it get that far.

D) I can't afford to buy shit right now, at least until after Labor Day.
