I inspected the gun and its Para Kote for about 20 minutes before purchase. It looked flawless( I have heard it can be a bit dodgy sometimes).

Gun came with 2 Para magazine's which I have also heard are a bit dodgy and will cause malfunctions. So I took it to the range with just 50 rounds since that is what i had lying around from shooting a friends SA 1911.

Now here is where I got extremely impressed The biggest issue I have heard happen with a few of these guns is that when you run dry from your first mag insert the new fully loaded mag and close the slide the first round in the new mag will not feed. It did just that. So I have a CMC 10 round mag I was going to use, but instead I ejected the round and went about shooting this issue never happened again! I rotated the mags 5 times and never had one issue of a FTF or eject or any other malfunction!

I was mostly shooting a man sized target at about 10 yards. The gun shot extremely well (I am by far not a great handgun shooter). I then handed it over to my buddy who has been shooting 1911's for about 5 years and he shot it the way it needed to be shot and his groups were just as tight as his loaded SA 1911. We then moved on to 8in steel plates at about 10 to 15 yards and I shot better than I ever had with the GI expert(compared to his SA 1911) might have been psychological since this was my weapon and not his, but I was extremely happy with its performance.

This model also fits perfectly into the Blackhawk Sportster polymer holster with no wear marks so far!

So in conclusion the fit and finish in my opinion rivals 1911's with twice its price tag. It is an extremely accurate and reliable gun so far. I will need to get a lot more bullets down range with it but I AM IMPRESSED! The trigger and all components felt great. I would totally buy another if I had more doe. I have read a lot of haters down talk this model but I believe it has so much quality and believe its a very well put together and all around great quality and shooting 1911. I would have expected these results from a 1911 in the $1000 + dollar range.

Nice review, the extractor the only thing that worries me.

It has only done that the first mag change. I have fired about 350 more rounds with not one issue! Still using stock mags which people have found out that it is the problem. Noting with the actual gun.

According to the owner's manual: you are supposed to clean the gun, fire 250 rounds, clean the gun, and fire 250 more.  I have seen so many people not follow these instructions and then bitch about the performance of the weapon.  If all else fails, follow directions and then judge the performance of the weapon.  I followed the instructions, and my gun has been flawless for almost 1,000 rounds.

I hate it when people don't follow directions and then whine and belly ache about not getting the results they demand from the product.

Dont know if your implying that is what I did. I love my gun and followed directions as stated. No complaints here!

No I didn't say that's what you did.  I was referring to your statement about reading alot of other bad reviews on the gun prior to your purchase.  I agree with you, it's a great gun.
