I wanted to know how this works. Do these pistols come straight from the factory with Unit names/insignia, or do we have to purchase these first and then take them and have them engraved? I would like to put together something like this together with my unit, if any one has any info please let me know, Thanks.

Email [email protected]. You order the pistols thru Para directly, give them unit info, number of people, etc. They sent us a form to fill out, submit that, and get ready to wait. And wait. And wait.

Sorry, although I own a few para's, it would not be the pistol that I would use in theater since there are too many parts that are casted, with a few questionable in regards to longevity as well due to such.

Although the SX ejector is a good design, it falls well short of the mark due to being a casted part.  Same goes for the FCG as well, and again for theater work, these and a few other parts should be forged parts to be more reliable, hence a much longer service life between failures.

Casted/MIM is not a bad thing, but some parts are better forged to begin with from the start, especially when the firearm has to function no matter what.

These wont be used during the deployment. These would be to commemorate or deployment and just to have at home.

Its kinda hard getting 32 people to want to buy a pistol. Everyone wants to be a cheap-ass. Ill prolly just buy my own pistol after this  deployment, it will be a good excuse to use on the wife for buying a Sig or a USP.

i posted this in another thread - the one i got just needed a slightly smaller (lbs wise) main spring and it has worked great.  the pistol seems to be well built (it is my 1st .45 so i have no comparison - just my opinion and range time).

I ordered mine and it was in on time for when we returned to the states. It was stolen and it took about 4 weeks to get a replacement.
