| Anybody have a C7.45 LDA? I'm thinking about picking one up for CCW use. I have not played with the double action 1911s yet. Not normaly a big fan of D/A, but the pull was pretty good. Any input would be a help. |

Hello: I don't have a C7.45, but I carry a full size 7.45 on duty. I switched about 3 months ago from an old S+W 5904 that i carried for past 11 years. did you say you tried the trigger on the Para Ord? yes it's double action, but a LIGHT DA. only thing you have to get used to and practice on is letting the trigger go all the way forward after each shot. the first mag, i shot I was used to only letting up a fraction of inch for the SA follow up shot. but after a couple of boxes of shells, now its second nature. Although its a larger handgun, it hides very nice, it's flat. not a chunky piece like my old Smith. I recommend a Para LDA to anybody. |

I have a C6.45 which is smaller that the one you are thinking about. I was raised on 1911's 45 years ago. I have had one, or several, around the huse ever since then. I had a career in Law enforcement back when double action revolvers were the only weapons used and really became fond of double action. Along comes the Para LDA and I fell in love! A double action 1911! The best of both worlds! The C6.45 is a delight to carry and it shoots as well as anything I have ever carried. 43 shots into an 8 inch circle at 5 yards rapid fire, in the rain... I'm convinced... |

I have a few LDA's. One is the 14-45 and the other is the 18-9. I like the trigger pull on mine. Granted, some have stated that the trigger pull is "long". But if you shoot DA pistols, most are "long" pulls. I like my LDA's because the trigger pull is consistant like a Glock, but you have the option of a safety and carring "clocked" in a 1911 style. I had a 7-45 (full sized) LDA, but I traded it off for some reloading equipment. And it was heck of a deal.... but I plan to replace it. The fit of the single stack is just "nice" vs the hi caps. |
