The gun is crap to begin with . if your looking for a nice stainless 1911 your better off with a springfield , remington r1 , rock island arms etc.....

answer or opinion what ever you want to call it , ive had one back in the day and out of the box the gun just dosent work , ive found it to be very pick about what ammo you use and required new mags right from the start and ill admit it was a very solid gun and was pretty accurate but after messing around with it after 800 rounds and half a year later of it jamming and sticking parts i sold it and funny enough the guy i sold it to was trying to get rid of it a few weeks later.

Well I got it used and it goes bang everytime I pull the trigger, both mags work as do the chips, just wanted to know if there was any problems with it being SS

SS is manufactured differently than it was ten years ago.  The galling issues between slides and frames have all been addressed and is no longer the problem it used to be.  Enjoy your gun!

Hint - AR15s love to be run "wet", 1911s don't.

FWIW, my SF45 loves to be run "wet".  She runs like a whore in church.

I run any "new to me" 1911 wet until the reliability has been proven then they get the minimal amount of lube.  I've had several people ask me if I ever "lube" my guns... I sure do, but I've got the same bottle of FP10 I'm still using that I bought 6 years ago!  I don't like getting oil splatter all over me when shooting my guns. ymmv

I bought my ss gi expert new 2yrs ago. The stock mags have a tendency to jam on the last round. But its been 100% with chip mags. Its ate every round ive fed it. Winchesters, tula, my own lead reloads and its gone bang everytime. Ive never had any oil or spatter while shooting. The 500 new price with its features matches with the 700 springer. So if you have 500 and want stainless buy the para without fear. If you have 700 and dont want to save 200 then buy the springfield. Im a modern dao guy, but hey we all "need" a 1911 right? Im happy with my para gi
