Hi

I'm looking for any information on the qualification course of fire for the 1911 US Army Service Pistol for the WW11 era.

Is this available to purchase or as a .pdf online  anywhere ?

Many Thanks
Steven

It's probably the same as it is today. Our pistol training is terrible

+1 I always wondered why we never loaded magazines past 7 rounds until it dawned on me, the Army hasn't revamped the pistol qual to adjust for the M9's differences from the M1911A1

I was the ammo point ncoic last pistol qual. Its fucking retarded you need too many mags, the positions are not realistic there is no drawstroke etc etc etc. I used to hate putting soldiers through a reflexive fire class then weapon transition and retention training and allthe good training we used to do then as anticlimactic as possible take them to a pistol qual range.

Id like to try the mounted cavalry pistol course, that looks fun.
