When my neighbor came over with his Kimber CDP I got frustrated with my financial situation, in that I couldn't afford to customize my SA milspec. So I traded my old friend in on a Beretta 92fs. There's nothing wrong with the Beretta, but I need a 1911. Right now I'm considering selling both it and my HiPower(an old Mk1 made in Belgium for the Argentine police) to finance a Springfield "loaded" or Kimber, or just the HiPower for a Charles Daly and more ammunition. Has anyone tried the Daly? I've read a lot of positive reviews. |

I feel your pain due to your loss of a loved one, my condolences. Second, you will regret the loss of your BHP also if you let it go. nuff said Charles Daily has mim internal parts, so be prepared to upgrade those, also ,ake sure if you get a C/D, you get a later "enhanced" model as the pre-enhanced had lots of problems and needed extensive rework either by factory or smith. My suggestion is this, sell the Beretta. and get ahold of anti, he still had a legp 1911 Springfield left over, you may be able to work out a trade or after selling the Beretta buy it. |

SELL THE BERETTA?????!!!! Blasphemy!!! C&L, I used to think your were a reasonable man, but, now this? First off, you don't sell guns. I too am a sinner, but only once or twice! I, too, long for a 1911 that I can afford, but would never, EVER, consider parting with my 92fs. I suck as a pistol shot, but that thing keeps making me look good-beyond my abilities. Don't do it! You are going to double your agony. I've shot glocks, and 1911's; thought they were great guns, but neither has felt or acted as well as the 92fs in my hands. Here ya go C&L, that said, nothing feels as good as my single action revolvers though! EAhHHH. Forgot to add, I sinned to get the 92fs, but it was a only a mini14-no yellow sheet, shot 2" groups, stainless, custom sights, almost new conditon.......I still hate myself, but love the Beretta! |
