I'm interested in finding the details on installing night sights on a SiG P220, myself.

Yes, you can do it yourself, *but*, if you can get them installed where you buy them, that beats breaking the tiny radioactive glass capsules and being S.O.L..
Having the sight tool for the model you are swapping the sights on are the next best bet, but not practical to purchase for one sight change.
If you still insist on doing your own, find out which way they go, in & out and keep the drift as low as possible to the dovetail and good luck, you may need it.
The Sig is dovetailed, front & rear.
Some Glock front night sights use a small socket to tighten it in, the rear is dovetailed.
