Thinking about getting a Kel tec P11 for pocket carry. Anyone have one and have good results and relibilty? Or is the 9mm to big and should I go with the .380?

It's TINY considering it holds 12+1 of 9mm. It's not all that small mind you, but I know of no other gun that packs so much firepower into such a small package.

Mine has been 100% reliable with everything I've fed it.

That said, it's ugly, crude, has a trigger like a staple gun, and I can't hit anything with it (due to said trigger), but it DOES go bang every time.

I think with some practice I'll get better with it.

this...it's a belly gun as every pocket gun should be considered..but if there is a chance you need to deal with more than 1 belly...p11 is gtg

I
had a P11. It's a great little gun, and it was utterly reliable.  Get 12 round mags, and put Pearce grip extensions on them, so your
pinkie will have a place to rest. The P11 recoils pretty good,
especially with +p ammo, but the Pearce helps with comfort and
controllability.

I have one, nice pistol the finish is a bit crude and the sights on mine were FUBAR (but an easy fix) but it's been 100% with the ammo I've shot through it and recoil is manageable.

Kel-Tec has had it on the market for almost fifteen years so I'd hazard a guess that they have all the bugs out.

I bought one used for $175.00 years ago.  It's not a pocket gun as much as it's ankle, or belly carry IMHO.  I also have a tuckable holster for it that I used before I went in another direction.

For a 12+1 9mm it's small and light.  Recoil isn't an issue as much as the trigger sucks.  Practice has made me fairly used to it but the long DAO pull up to the heavy breaking weight is very noticeable after shooting other pistols such as a 1911 or a M&P.

Mine has never given me any functionality issues whatsoever.  The slide stop is not something I've found easy to release so for quick reloads with this pistol it's always been "over the top."  Of course I have one of the older models so things may have changed with the newer updates.

Overall it's fairly inexpensive, works, and for a close range gun with 9mm it's accurate enough.

As has been said, it packs 12+1 into a very concealable package.

Its pretty accurate, but requires practice to shoot well with, because of the long, heavy trigger pull.

Its big advantages are size, capacity, and easy conceal-ability. I carry mine in a generic IWB holster and it just disappears and carries well.

After some initial teething problems, mine has been totally reliable. Trigger pull is long and a little heavy, but very smooth. Since I've done a lot of DA revolver shooting, the trigger is not an issue for me. I've replaced the sights with a set of XS Big Dots and added the factory trigger shoe, but that's it. It's my main carry gun. Recoil is very manageable with standard pressure loads. I can't comment on Plus-P's, since I don't use them in this gun.  Check out the Keltec Owners Group (KTOG) for instructions for a "fluff and buff." I honestly don't think of the pistol as crude, just utilitarian and well thought out. Since mags are the heart of a semi-auto, KT was smart when they contracted with Mecgar.

Small and light, mine has been 100% (100-150rds do far) I got it to replace my P3AT (Wanted more fire power). Only bitch is the trigger is long and heavy.
Oh, and my rear site is slips to the left. I am happy with it as CCW piece.

My wife's has fed with with everything except 147 grain winchester HP. The last time I did any real shooting with it, I could keep everything on a 10" paper plate at 50 yards. The trigger sucks compared to any decent DA revolver, and I can flex the frame enough with hand pressure to keep mags from dropping. Decent gun otherwise though.

mine has been very reliable. try the trigger shoe from keltec, makes things easier.

Accuracy is better than I expected from this size gun.

As fore the pocket carry aspect, go to the gun shop and try for yourself.

I wear cargoes a lot and it slides right into cargo pockets. Fits in some of the largest regulars pockets well, too, but will not fit comfortably in some.

You won't want anything but the gun in the pocket though.

I used to own for pocket carry.  I traded it for something else, not because i disliked the p11, but because the trade was too good. Get one, practice until the trigger doesnt pull you and profit. Great gun.
