Anybody have any inspiration (read "pictures") for a custom gun? Anything really unique to show off? Got a home-built one? I want to see it! |

Quoted: Kind of. This gun started out as a Beretta PX4 in 40 S&W. I sent it to David Olhasso for and action job and a conversion to "G" model (decock only) tthen I sent it to Robar to Stipple the grip and NP3 the slide and internals along with XS big dot sights. This is one of my favorite guns to shoot, it shoots great and Dave Olhasso did an amazing job. Absolutely the best DA/SA trigger I have ever shot. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/D-Ric902/IMG_0420.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/D-Ric902/IMG_0432.jpg This is a Ruger Super Blackhawk that I shot the daylights out of. I sent it to Mag-na-port for the Predator package but to cut the barrel to 4 inches and fit up a birdshead grip from Brownells. Great trigger and it loves 240 grain lead bullets. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/D-Ric902/IMG_0366.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/D-Ric902/IMG_0364_1.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/D-Ric902/IMG_0362_1.jpg This is my carry gun. Springer LW champion Operator that I sent back to the SA Custom Shop for a trigger job, bobtail. and checkering the frontstrap at 30 lpi. They also recrowned the barrel and refinished the frame. Shoots like nobody's business. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/D-Ric902/IMG_0357.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/D-Ric902/IMG_1083.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a258/D-Ric902/IMG_1085.jpg Holy moly! |

This was my first full build, done on an 80% KT Ordnance frame. I think I did this one back in 2002.

I used CCR with their cera-plate. Sent the entire gun in, being I want the metal frame parts done, as well. I put on the Stealth slide release and Bedair guide rod. They will put on the Trijicons and Stealth decocker. I just bought a Ruger LCP, and I might go a similar route with the plating. I'm unsure on whatever the second pistol will be. If a polymer frame, I will have it plated as well (I'm favoring the Glock, due to the polymer magazines). If I get a metal framed pistol, I will try for a stainless pistol. |

Heirloom Precision's SRT package on the Browning High Power: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v717/Guevera/DSCN0175.jpg Funny you should post that. When I first read the title, a BHP worked over with HP's SRT package. was exactly what came to mind. I'd love to be able to send them mine some day!

Outstanding firearms D-Ric902! I don't have anything super special, but this Colt 1911 was customized by a gunsmith named Fisher sometime in the 1970's (I think). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/C5starman/S5000369.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v312/C5starman/S5000371.jpg I remember that Don Fisher used to run ads in "American Handgunner" during the 1980s. He also wrote some articles for the DBI/Krause "Handguns" annuals back in the late 1990s. |
